Military Service
Michael Santos joined the U.S. Army in 2004 and was immediately deployed to Tal Afar, Iraq, where he carried out counter-insurgency and area reconnaissance missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III. After sustaining injuries during combat, he was medically retired from the Army in 2008.
